I found a RV campground close to where we needed to be and it included free geo thermal pools as part of the package. They needed to include something extra as the park was not up to what we’ve become accustomed to. It had everything we needed, it was just that everything needed a little attention.
We wanted this area so that we would be close to Hobbiton, but we had time before our tour so I checked the hiking app and sure enough there was a hike close by, Wairere Falls.
It turned out to be one of our best hikes, and we have had many of them.

Hobbiton was fun even though we are not big fans. Now we will at least checkout the productions when we get home.

Cleaned-up Britzy and dropped her off. Renting her was easy and hassle free as was the drop-off. We believe an RV is a great way to see New Zealand. Many of the camp locations are better than the nice hotels and lodges.
Some travel statistics:
Total step walked for the 20 days: 347,773.
Totals miles walked: 161
Total miles driven: 1,895
Next stop: Fiji. Bula!
Love Teri with Gandalf. Probably need new boots by now. Get to go barefoot in Fiji. Have fun.
